Flatpack is a mobile arts organisation that exhibits exceptional work, fosters communities, and generates fresh ideas.
Flatpack has a particular fondness for film, in all its various forms and styles, especially when it intersects with other artistic disciplines. The organisation takes immense pleasure in transforming spaces to create unforgettable events that leave a lasting impression. Every May bank holiday, Flatpack takes over venues throughout Birmingham for the “magnificently eclectic” Flatpack Festival. Additionally, throughout the year, they appear in various locations, offering a wide range of activities, catering for families and horror enthusiasts alike!
In 2022, Flatpack held their first in-person festival since 2019, following pandemic-related restrictions. The festival featured a diverse range of events throughout Birmingham, including comedy shows, cocktail mixing workshops, scientific presentations, punk-inspired puppetry, and cinema walks.
